Mason and Saunderon silently watch a nocturnal ceremony held within the shadows of the Syngian Mountains.

Rumors across Midkemia whisper of a cult which is actively drawing out the dark spirits that serve the fabled Dagonian Lord, Cazan. Already, a mysterious sickness has spread across the land whereby those afflicted have become withdrawn, grey, mindless shadows of their former selves.

Saunderon has long suspected that this has to do with Cazan yet he had been unable to verify..until now. He and Mason watch the ceremony in hiding. This song relates the tale.
